Prof. Dr. Robert Zeiser (B09) was one of two prizewinners to receive the 2022 Prevention Prize from the German Society for Internal Medicine (DGIM) and the German Foundation for Internal Medicine at the beginning of May. The prize is awarded for the best work in the field of primary and secondary prevention of internal diseases and is endowed with EUR 10,000. Zeiser received the award for his work on the prevention of recurrence of acute myeloid leukemia after CAR-T cell therapy, an innovative cancer immune treatment.
