Dr. Maximilian Seidl, a doctor at the Institute of Clinical Pathology and part of the central project “Immunopathology Unit” in the CRC1160, achieved the third place at the “Annual External Innovation Think Tank Exhibition” (eITT) in Erlangen. The presented excellent project deals with the development of a software that allows a virtual microscopy without tissue destruction. As a result, tissue samples can be better evaluated diagnostically. For example, tumors can be better localized and thus false-negative findings avoided.
